VP Danesh meets Daikundi Culturists, Civil Activists

Kabul (BNA)  A number of Daikundi culturists, members of civil entities, youth and university students in a meeting with Second Vice President, Sarwar Danesh shared their problems and suggestions in different fields, VP office said in a statement.
According to the statement, in the meeting, head of the province’s information and culture department asked for government support in holding ‘Gul-e-Badam Festival,’ recently registered by the ministry of information and culture as ‘Art and Cultural Festival.’
He added the festival will be held in Daikundi in near future, through which the farmers would be encouraged to increase their products, the statement added.
Calling establishment of a Public Library a need in the provincial capital of the province, the cultural and civil activists asked the government to help them in the respect, the statement continued.
During the meeting, VP Danesh stressed on cooperation of civil entities with government administrations and called holding Gul-e-Badam Festival a good opportunity for introduction of local capacities.
He also said the government would support such festivals.
At the end, Vice-President Danesh said he would make effort to solve the province’s problems and would follow the participants’ demands through the relevant administrations.
