Kabul (BNA) A number of university professors, cultural figures and civil society activists called on the second vice president Sarwar Danesh and demanded the implementation of the decision of council of ministers of the former government with regard renaming the Faiz Mohammad Katib road.
Lashed any new decision with regard to renaming the road as illegal, adding Faiz Mohammad Katib as an historian belongs to all the people of Afghanistan.
The Council of ministers of former government in its decision in 1392 renamed Chauk Shahid Mazari-Darul Aman road after Faiz Mohammad Katib. In his remarks, the second vice president said that the decision of the cabinet with regard to renaming the road is still intact and no one had formally violated the decision and the name won’t be changed unless the council of ministers decides.
