Kandahar-Kajaki 110KV Power Line Work Resumed

KABUL (BNA) Mullah Mohammad Hanif Hamza, director of Kandahar’s regional electricity office, said work on the Kajaki-Kandahar 110KV line was rapidly flowing.

The first phase of the line from Lashkargah to Sangeen station has been completed before Ramadan, and the second phase of the 30km from Lashkargah to Warahi on 114 extension pylons to Maiwand station is now underway.

Officials say work will then begin on rehabilitating the Maiwand-Kandahar powerline and the Sangeen-Kajaki powerline.

According to him, with the extension of the new powerline, Kajaki power will be fully extended to Kandahar and Lashkargah.

Da Kandahar Breshna Sherkat says the “first” phase of the old Kajaki power station, the second of three turbines with a capacity of 18MW, has had technical problems for the past year.

Along so far 77 Turkish companies have been reactivated, which has led to a significant increase in electricity supply to Kandahar and Helmand, said, officials.

The second phase of Kajaki is also in the test phase process which will be an extension to the electric power supply after completion, the source added.

Despite the fact with the Islamic Emirate sovereignty, corruption in the power supply sector has been halted and its revenue has enlarged.
