Kabul (BNAS) Talking to the CNN TV reporter as regards the concerns shown due to reduction of the international forces in Afghanistan in 2014, President Karzai said that we do not want to be always dependent on the world community.
He added that he is realizing the situation, but be is not concerned and he is not afraid because the Afghans can ensure their security, for we cannot always and on sustainable manner seek world support or become a burden on them.
We should ensure our security and facilitate our livelihood. I am sure that we can do this and the people of Afghanistan want to reach this aim.
The assertion of the president is a message to the Afghans, especially to the ruling elite in the country that permanent dependency on foreigners can bring in serious damages to the aspiration of the Afghans.
For this very reason, the Afghans as the main heir of this homeland defend its interests.
All know well that Afghanistan has several thousand years of history and during the course of its history have defended their homeland. During all those years NATO and the US were not present here and the Afghans defended their lands by relying to their steadfastness and love towards the homeland.
