Kabul (BNA) President Ashraf Ghani chaired a meeting on second wave of covid-19 this morning at the Presidential Palace.
Referring to the urgent need of oxygen supply in the central and provincial hospitals, Public Health Minister, Mr. Jawad Osmani said that 8 oxygen producers are in process to be installed for covid-19 patients.
Dr. Nasreen Oryakhel, chairperson of the High Medical Council presented her evaluation report on Afghan Japan Hospital. Diva Samad, special assistant to the President briefed the meeting on oxygen supplies, and protective equipment of the health workers in provinces.
President Ashraf Ghani instructed the Ministry of Public Health to prepare comprehensive report on the need of oxygen within two weeks.
President Ghani said that the Ministry of Public Health should identify needs of the Covid-19 hospitals. MoPH should prepare a clear plan to prevent delays in the pays of health workers during the fight against the second wave of Covid-19, he added.
President Ghani instructed MoPH to share report of the resources and measures allocated to combat the second wave of Covid-19 with the public.
