Kabul (BNA) President Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the killing of eleven children in ISAF air strike in Shegal district of Kunar province.
President Karzai while strongly denouncing the utilization of civilians and their residents as shield by Taliban also in strong terms condemned any operation that results in killing of innocent civilians.
President Karzai before has also issued a decree on prevention of civilian causalities in residential areas and ban on conducting of air strike in these regions.
President Karzai yesterday had a telephonic conversation with government officials of Kunar and acquired information on the incident.
The president has also assigned a delegation to probe the incident from the nearside.
The president conveys his deep sympathy and condolences with victim families and wish speedy recovery for the injured of the incident.
