KANDAHAR (BNA) The explosion of a landmine left over from the past wars in Kandahar took the life of a shepherd and caused the loss of ten sheep, said officials, on Sunday.
A source said the event took place late Sunday in Arghandab district of the province
The landmine hit his cattle at first, and while he was hurrying to save his sheep cattle the second took his life too, according to the source.
Local sources in the Arghandab district of Kandahar told Bakhtar News Agency that the landmine remaining from past decades of war took the life of a shepherd, and tens of his cattle were wasted in the incident.
