Kabul (BNA) The special envoy of UN secretary general to Afghanistan Feng Haisom called on national security advisor Mohammad Hanif Atmar here yesterday, BNA reported.
In the meeting matters relating peace process, ensuring security, the coming Warsaw and Brussels conferences and Afghanistan’s preparations to attend were discussed.
United Nations would continue to support peace and security in Afghanistan and would also back Afghanistan’s priorities at Warsaw and Brussels conferences, the UN envoy said.
The UN diplomat also noted that the world body supports the decisions of the national unity government to bring reforms as promised by the heads of government to the people.
Thanking the UN for its support to Afghanistan, Atmar said that the world body’s support at Warsaw and Brussels conferences is essential for the participants to renew commitment to Afghanistan.
