Prof. Bawary Meets Bamyan Governor, Pledges Restoration of Cultural Heritages

Kabul (BNA) In a meeting with the Bamyan governor, Mohammad Tahir Zahir, the Deputy Minister of Information and Culture on Cultural Affairs Prof. Mohammad Rasul Bawary pledged the entire cultural heritages would be repaired and restored in the province, BNA reported Tuesday.
Both sides spoke on the issue and said besides restoring cultural heritages, Archeology Park and the historical caves would also be created in the province, according to the agency.
“Preservation of the historical monuments and cultural heritages was the main duty of the ministry and Bamyan is one of the country’s ancient province, where the ancient relics and monuments are included in the world cultural heritages,” said the deputy minister.
He said programs were available to restore and repair the relics and monuments in the province.
The Bamyan governor also spoke about the issue and called restoration of the ancient relics and historical heritages very important, the agency quoted.
