Over 57,000 IDPs Restored Coutrywide, Minister

Kabul (BNA) Minister of Refugees and Repatriates, Sayed Hussain Alemi Balkhi in a meeting chaired by Chief Executive, Dr. Abdullah, said some 57057 displaced people have been restituted and sent to their main residential areas this year, statement from the CE office said Wednesday.
The meeting which was held at the Spidar Palace, Minister Balkhi provided full information about the recently war-resulted displacement of tens of thousands of people from various parts of the country and said up to 9257 displaced people have received aids from the Intentional aid agencies so far, according to the statement.
He said an amount of 140 million Afghanis has been proposed to assist the displaced people of Herat and Badghis provides to help them return their residential areas and those voluntarily returning to their houses would be provided with cash and primary aids.
The country’s Chief Executive instructed the related organs to provide assistances to the displaced people and those households returning to their villages, should be provided with all needed assistances, the statement quoted.
Dr. Abdullah said in the provinces with no international aid agencies representation, domestic sources should be generated and strengthened to reduce the available challenges.
The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriates has also been instructed to continue its work by using its available budget, the statement said.
