Contract On 108 Uplift Projects Signed

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah chaired a meeting in which contract on 108 welfare projects were signed, his office said in a statement Monday.
The ceremony was held at the Sapidar Palace, where the chief executive said the projects, with financial support of the India would be launched in the country’s 31 provinces, according to the statement.
Indian Ambassador to Kabul Manpreet Vohra, said Afghanistan was a strategic and reliable friend of India and New Delhi is committed to help Afghanistan in the field of stability, reconstruction and economic expansion.
“Majority of the project have completed and laid at the disposal of the people of Afghanistan,” said the ambassador as quoted by the statement.
CE Abdullah said the budgets of the project were rejected due to long delay in implementation of the project works, but the work would be accelerated with full coordination and timely work as well with  the administrative programs launched quickly.
Dr. Abdullah pointing to the close relation of the two countries and said relation between Kabul and New Delhi would further expand as India is honestly willing stability in Afghanistan, the statement said.
