Man Intending To Burn Holy Quran, Captured By Afghan Forces

Kandahar (BNA) A man said to burn copies of Holy Quran and Arab Taliban’s graveyard based in Kandahar was arrested by police. 
The individual admitted during preliminary enquiry that due to order of armed Taliban he wanted to set fire copies of the Holy Quran and the Arab Taliban’s graveyard in order that the Afghan people express their anger against foreign forces and Afghan government. 
The graveyard of Arab Taliban killed in fighting with US forces is based in Zheri district of Kandahar province. 
The individual also said he thought that by burning copies of the Holy Quran and the graveyard, the people would accuse Afghan government and foreign forces of the act. 
According to Dr. Toryali Weesa, governor of Kandahar, the individual who was taking the step of burning of Zheri district was arrested by police. 
He had told the police he wanted to make the people stand against foreign forces and the government after setting fire the Holy Quran and the graveyard. 
The arrest of the individual came a week after continuous demonstrations launched by Afghan people in different parts of the country against US forces accused of burning copies of the Holy Quran in Bagram.
