Construction Work of Agricultural Water Canals Completed in Kunduz

Kabul (BNA) The construction work of two agricultural water canals have been completed and put into exploitation in northern Kunduz province.
Abdul Hadi Qarluq head of agriculture, irrigation and livestock department of Kunduz told BNA correspondent, the agricultural water canals at the length of 13 km has been built with a cost of 12 million Afghanis funded by Asian Development Bank in Dasht Archi district of the province.
The canals will be irrigated 1000 acres of land and nearly 8000 people directly and thousands people indirectly will be benefited, Qarluq added.
The construction work of several water canals underway in Dasht Archi and Imam Sahib districts of the province and will be completed as soon, Qarluq underlined.
