Kabul (BNA) Minister of Information and Culture Dr. Sayeed Makhdoom Raheen while condemning murdering of a female journalist and the country’s activist Palwasha Tokhai asked security organs for arresting killer of the journalist and hand him over to justice. Meanwhile, Minister of Information and Culture in a contact to BNA expressed his deep condolence and sympathy to the deceased family and media members. The incident happened on Wednesday in Guzari area of Mazar-e-Sharif’s 3rd PD. Palwasha Tokhai was murdered with a dagger by an identified individual in her home. Police has started efforts to arrest the murderer. Tokhai’s mother was at home during the incident. The journalist’s family has told media a man had brought an invitation card and asked Palwasha for a glass of water. When Palwasha brought water, the man attacked her with a dagger. Palwasha Tokhai had worked before for Bayan Shamal Radio and for the past two years, she had lived abroad for higher education. She returned home to spend her university vacation. People and social networks have expressed deep concern over killing of the journalist and condemned her killing. Violence against journalists have increased recently in the country where seven journalists have been killed in the past six months.
