President Ghani, British PM Speak Via Telephone

Kabul (BNA) Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan spoke with British new Prime Minister, Ms. Theresa May via telephone the other day, the presidential press office said in a statement.
During the telephone conversation, both sides exchanged views on expansion of regional relations, particularly, strengthening both countries’ ties, the statement further said.
British new Prime Minister also assured of her country’s continued cooperation with Afghanistan, stressing the Britain is committed on its commitments made in Warsaw summit, the statement added.
Welcoming the Afghan government steps on fighting corruption, British PM said, we support establishment of counter corruption organizations, the statement continued.
At the end, President Ghani thanked Britain for its continued cooperation with Afghanistan in different sections over the last years, the statement concluded.
