Islamic Emirate Works to Upgrade Health Sector with Accepted Standards in Country: Hanafi

KABUL (BNA): Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, stated that the Islamic Emirate is working to align the country’s healthcare sector with established standards.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, Hanafi made these remarks during a meeting with health expert Prof. Hayatullah Hayat.

Hayatullah Hayat provided information regarding the state of healthcare services in the country and proposed improvements during the meeting.

He also asked the Islamic Emirate’s leadership to take practical measures to prohibit the importation of substandard pharmaceuticals, standardize healthcare facilities, and create an environment favorable to building capacity in the health sector.

Hanafi commended Hayat’s efforts and added that the Islamic Emirate closely monitors the country’s healthcare sector, striving for compliance with approved norms.

He further stated that, after taking into account the existing facilities, consideration will be given to the presented suggestions.
