Meteorological Depart Warns of Possible Heavy Storms in 29 Provinces

KABUL (BNA) The Meteorological department of the country has declared the possibility of heavy storms with sand in 29 provinces of the country.

In a press release, the Meteorological Department of Afghanistan said that heavy winds are expected in 29 provinces on Wednesday and Thursday (May 25th and 26th) and called on Afghan citizens to take precautionary measures to prevent possible damage.

According to the newsletter, the possibility of storms with sand in Kunduz, Balk, Faryab, Badghis, Herat, Farah, Nimroz, Helmand, Kandahar, Samangan, Sar-e-Pul, Jawzjan, Ghor, Daikundi, Uruzgan, Ghazni, Paktia, Paktika provinces, Baghlan, Bamyan, Parwan, Takhar, Panjshir, Kapisa, Kabul, Maidan Wardak, Logar, Khost, and Zabul, which the rapidity is predicted in different places between (30 to 100) kilometers per hour.

Meanwhile, the State for Disaster Management Ministry in connection with the possibility of storms in the country has asked the people to follow the guidelines issued by the provincial committees to prevent possible damages or casualties.
