Second Winter Tourism Festival’ inaugurated in Bamyan

Kabul (BNA) During her visit to Bamyan province, Deputy Minister of Information and Culture on Finance, Admin and Tourism, Sayeda Mojgan Mostafavi and her accompanied delegation attended a ceremony in which the Second Winter Tourism Festival was inaugurated on Thursday.
Addressing the ceremony, Bamyan governor, Mohammad Tahir Zahir, spoke related to the development of tourism industry in the ancient province, adding tourism industry's development and planning and investment in this sector was very important for the strengthening of the people economy.
Praising Ministry of Information and Culture’s works, the governor asked the ministry for paying further serious attention in four tourism sector.
Meanwhile in her remarks, the deputy minister of information and culture on tourism affairs noted the tourism attraction as the most important opportunity in the province and said the main goal of her tour to the province, was the inauguration of the second winter tourism festival, according to the agency.
The deputy minister emphasized on coordination between the related organs including the ministry of information and culture and the provincial government of Bamyan in the introduction of the Bamyan historical and cultural assets and development of tourism industry in Afghanistan.
Head of Afghanistan’s tourism development enterprise, Mahdi Shefahi, pointed to private sector involvement in tourism sector and asked sincere cooperation of government in this regard.
The ceremony was continued with theater show, traditional music and poetry.
According to director of tourism, Ramin Ateeqzada, the ministry to inaugurate a number of winter games in coming days, aiming to attract more tourists to the ancient city.
