Nangarhar (BNA) Twenty-six Taliban insurgents, including 17 Pakistani fighters, were killed in a military operation in Nangarhar.
The operation was carried out with the participation of hundreds of troops and the support of air force last night in parts of Achin and Spinghar districts.
Nangarhar Governor Zia-ul-Haq Amarkhail told BNA that 26 insurgents, including 17 Pakistani fighters, were killed and four others wounded in the operation.
The governor of Nangarhar says the security troops has seized dozens of light and heavy weapons from Taliban during the operation.
However, the Taliban claim that there were casualties to security forces last night’s in the battles.
