Terrorists Safe Sanctuaries Should Be Targeted, NSA Atmar

Kabul (BNA) The National Security Advisor (NSA) Mohammad Hanif Atmar met Gareth Bayley, UK special envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan here yesterday, the NSA office said in a statement.
At the outset the UK special envoy extended his prime minister, government and people’s condolences to Afghan leaders and the nation over recent deadly attacks and called it inhuman and a barbaric act, adding UK would stay committed with Afghan government and the people in war on terror.
Thanking UK envoy for the condolences, Mohammad Hanif Atmar said terrorists have committed many war crimes and that Afghan forces would continue fighting against them.  He said terrorism was becoming a global threat and emphasized on targeting their sanctuaries beyond Afghan soil.
Both sides also discussed recent Pakistan delegation’s visit to Afghanistan with UK envoy saying would spare no effort to bridge the gap between the two countries.
