ANA: Mopping-Up Operation Kills 20 Militants

Kabul (BNA) At least 28 rebels including 12 Daesh affiliates were killed during a mopping-up operation led by Afghan National Army (ANA) in different parts of the country.
Ministry of National Defense press office reported BNA, the operations were launched aiming to eliminate insurgents in various parts Achin of Nangarhar, Dehrawod of Urozgan, Shah Walikot of Kandahar and Shindand district of Herat province, in which 28 rebels including 12 Daesh members were killed, 21 Daesh members were wounded and 17 other insurgents were arrested.
Also some heavy weapons, ammunitions and war mobilizations have been seized from the militants, the source added.
According to another report, four ANA personnel were martyred during their security missions due to mine blasts and thrown of heavy weapons by insurgents in various parts of the country.
