Kabul (BNA) The UNDP director on Asia-Pacific called on the Second Vice-President Sarwar Danesh here yesterday, Presidential press office reported BNA.
During the meeting, the vice president briefed the official on the UN assistance to Afghanistan especially in the judiciary and justice sector. Expressing gratitude over UNDP support to Afghanistan in past years, Danesh said that the cooperation was fruitful.
However, he added that in some cases there were problems. In this regard, he added that in some cases there was misuse of the contribution and lack of government control on the performances of the donors. Hailing the academic personality of the second vice president, the UNDP official said, “I and my colleagues are ready to prepare part of our programs and take it ahead under your leadership with the compliance of the policy of the government of Afghanistan.”
