Flights Should Seriously Be Overseen, Spokesman

Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan national aviation administration said the other day that besides regulation of the flights activities inside and outside the country, it had to seriously safety of the flights as well.
Spokesman for the independent national air-aviation, Qasem Rahimi said, that the admin had the responsibilities of overseeing and leadership of other air-aviation companies and other flights’ activities, through a recently on hand program under the Afghanistan air-aviation law, as it had to check those air the companies registered with the administration during flight. Controlling the country’s air was also the responsibility of the ministry as it could gain eye-catching achievements since the last more, two years of its establishment, particularly in training professionally in training of tens of youths, the spokesman added. He said billions of Afghanis had been collected as revenues in the field of air-aviation for the government of Afghanistan and could partially contribute to the government and people in this field, and moreover building different air-ports in provinces and connecting them to the capital and other world countries could be called a development in this respect, the administration for the independent national air-aviation had made so far, according to the spokesman who added four international air-ports are still operational in the country. “The airports in the center and provinces, like Mazar-e-Sharif, Herat and Kandahar are equipped with modern facilities,” said Rahimi adding this was not sufficient and the administration was planned to launch more fresh programs in this field. Five domestic and ten foreign air-aviation companies have so far been given work permits, said the spokesman. Meanwhile, flight safety had been said to be of the vital priorities, requiring activation of a separate department to reach the goal, as it was the only responsible dept. to comprehensively check and oversee as will to investigate all companies with work licenses and their tentative flights, otherwise they couldn’t use the Afghan air-space for flight. The independent national air-aviation is fully monitoring the condition and would do its best to prevent all flight errors. But something takes place as defections, this could be occur in all devices and technical equipment, so conversion of the Safi related airplane was among such issues and no concerning,” said Rahimi when enquired about why the plane of Safi air-company failed to properly use the runway, causing return from other way. This is while, the Afghan passengers are complaining about the out of date planes in all Afghan companies including Ufoq-e-Sharq, Safi, Aryana, Kam-Air and Afghan jet, with routine flights from the capital to the provinces and out of the country.
