Kabul (BNA) Acting Minister of Interior Alhaj Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani met with Deborah Lyond, Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Afghanistan.
In the meeting, Deborah Lyond thanked the MM staff for their support, as well as the Ministry of Interior’s full cooperation and coordination.
Ms. Lyons described the meetings held at the United Nations on Afghanistan as very positive and said that many countries are interested in cooperating with the Islamic Emirate.
“Afghanistan is now the focus of attention of all nations,” added. She pledged to continue cooperating and working together on humanitarian aid, attracting foreign donors, as well as counter-narcotics cultivation and trafficking.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani thanked Ms. Lyons for presenting a true picture of Afghanistan at the relevant UN meetings and assured her that the Islamic Emirate is committed to the security of foreign organizations and Wants peaceful life and relations with the world.
