Ministry of Industry and Commerce Efforts to Control Hoarding

KABUL (BNA) Nooruddin Azizi, Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, met with the guilds of the Chamber of industrialist, chairman and members of the Commission for the Prevention of Hoarding and Control of Raw Material Rates, and discussed about the problems of retailers and industrialist.

According to BNA, In the meeting, the guilds of flour, cooking ghee, rice, meat, oil and gas, guilds first shared their problems with Mawlawi Haji Agha, head of the Commission for the Prevention of Hoarding and Control of Raw Materials Rates and the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Afterwards, the head of the hoarding commission said that they are working to serve the people and are in direct contact with the people to address their problems.

Likewise, Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, Noorudddin Azizi, gave constructive advice to the members of the commission and the participants, and promised that the ministry will assist the professionals with all its might and will cooperate fully with the commission.

On the other hand, Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal, the ministry’s deputy for industry and commerce, said plans should be made and implemented on time.

At the end of the meeting, it was decided that the officials of the Commission for the Prevention of hoarding and control of raw material prices would work on their procedure and send a representative to the country’s ports to monitor price rates.

The Commission for the Prevention of Hoarding and Control of Raw Materials Rates is headed by Kabul Municipality and includes representatives of the Ministries of Interior, Industry and Commerce, Justice, Attorney General’s Office, General Directorate of Intelligence, Da Afghanistan Bank, Oil and Gas Department, Chamber of Commerce and investments of chamber of trades and a representative of oil and gas traders.
