Ministry of Public Health Provides Free Eye Treatment in Ghazni City

 

KABUL(BNA): A medical team from the Ministry of Public Health has arrived in Ghazni City and started treating eye patients at the provincial hospital. This team is set to provide free treatment for ten days.

Dr. Zehirak Ranzurmal, Head of Public Health in Ghazni, told Bakhtar News Agency that based on their request, the Ministry of Public Health dispatched a team of ten specialized eye doctors to Ghazni to perform free eye surgeries and treatments.

“The primary goal of this medical team is to perform cataract surgeries, with around 400 operations planned. Over the past two days, more than 120 surgeries have already been completed, and hundreds of other patients have received free treatment,” Dr. Ranzurmal stated.

Meanwhile, eye patients in Ghazni have expressed their gratitude for this initiative by the Public Health Directorate and have called on the Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to provide free treatment in other medical fields as well.
