President Ghani Bids Farewell To First Group Of Hajj Pilgrims

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani held a farewell meeting with first caravan of hajjis going to Saudi Arabia to perform obligatory hajj at the Hamid Karzai International Airport, his office said in a statement.
At the outset, Faiz Mohammad Osmani, the minister of hajj and religious affairs said all preparations have already been taken to Hajjis in Saudi Arabia, adding the process would be successfully done as like as last year, according to the statement. He added the government is making effort to provide the Afghan hajjis with better facilities, the statement added. Thanking the president for his attention, representing hajjis, Merajuddin said the government of Afghanistan has provided more facilities to hajjis this year.
He added the hajjis while performing obligatory hajj would pray for ensuring sustainable peace and stability of Afghanistan. Likewise, the president said “I am your first servant and the government is at your service.” He added Afghanistan’s embassy in Saudi Arabia have taken all preparations to Afghan hajjis. According to the ministry of hajj and religious affairs, 30000 hajjis are expected to perform obligatory hajj this year.
