Dr. Abdullah Condemns Extremism, Calls For Durable Stability

Kabul (BNA) The Chief Executive of the government Dr. Abdullah Abdullah has condemned extremism and terrorism in the country and called for ensuring durable peace and security, Executive Chief Press office reported BNA.
Addressing the second conference of Markaz-e-Itedal-e-Afghanistan here yesterday, Dr. Abdullah said that Islam had forbidden extremism and terrorism.
Killing innocent people in the name of Islam is against Islamic teachings, the Chief Executive said, adding unfortunately hundreds of innocent Muslims are killed by terrorists. Denouncing the killing of innocent people by extremists, the Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah called upon the armed oppositions that Afghans won’t bow before oppressors. “Millions of Afghans want peace in their country and a few thousand terrorists can’t damage the country’s stability,” Dr. Abdullah went on to say. In the conference organized by Nematullah Shahrani the chairman of Markaz-e-Itedal-e-Afghanistan, former President Hamid Karzai and lawmaker Mohammad Akbari also spoke and denounced extremism and terrorism as against Islamic teachings.
