Kabul (BNA) Thousands acres of lands have been cleared from poppy cultivation in eastern Nangarhar province.
The poppy bushes eradicated in relevant areas of Koot, Acheen, Haska Mena and Deh Bala districts of the province.
Ataullah Khogyani provincial spokesman for Nangarhar told BNA reporter, thousands jeribs of lands have been clean-up from poppy bushes in different parts of the province.
Local officials from departments of agriculture, irrigation and livestock and counter-narcotic drug are cooperating with Afghan security forces in this campaign.
According to another report, 10 suspicious accused of different criminal cases were arrested by Afghan security forces in Nangarhar province.
The suspicious were detained during special operations and houses searching.
A local police official in Nangarhar said, the arrested people were accused in murderer, robbery, human trafficking and narcotic drug smuggling.
