Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani in a meeting yesterday at Gul Khana Palace with participation of representatives of World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, minister of public health Ferozuddin Feroz and advisor to President Dr. Najibullah Mujadidi expressed concern over increasing of polio positive cases in a number of provinces of the country, saying the resources that have been allocated for eradication of polio in the country should be spent in a better way as the government of Afghanistan was ready to take any step towards polio eradication in the country. The country’s President also stressed on people coherence and increasing and changing ways for implementation of polio eradication programs in Afghanistan. In the meeting, representatives of WHO and UNICEF also briefed related to their organizations’ operations followed in connection with adopting urgent mechanism so that Afghanistan reached a country free of polio.
