Modi Wishes Afghan Cricket Success In WC

Kabul (BNA) Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi phoned President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani here yesterday and congratulated him and Afghan people over qualifying Afghanistan national cricket team to attend World Cup 2015 held in Australia and wished success for the team in the competition.
During the conversation, the Indian Prime Minister said it is a matter of pleasure that another member of SAARC countries attending Cricket World Cup, adding the cricket plays important role in further getting closer the countries in the region.
Indian Premier also discussed about president Ghani’s visit to India and it was decided that delegations from both sides have to discuss the visit, arranging time and its agenda.
Describing Afghanistan and Indian relations as very close, President Ghani hoped his visit would farther make closer the two countries.
