MoF Banned Coal Export through Torkham Customs Port

KABUL (BNA) The Ministry of Finance of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan an announcement on Monday banned coal export through Torkham customs. through Paktia, Paktika and Khost customs.

The ministry said in a statement on Monday that under the new Ministry platform, vehicles carrying coal from Torkham customs will no longer be allowed, adding that coal will be exported through Paktia, Paktika, and Khost port’s province.

The measure is taken in order to export more fresh fruits from Afghanistan and to prevent the spoilage of these fruits and traffic congestion, said a source from the Ministry.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance has asked all drivers of coal trucks to deliver coals through Paktia, Paktika, and Khost customs ports.
