Delegation Sent to Logar to Probe Kochis’ Incident

Kabul (BNA) A delegation, chaired by the advisor minister to the president, Al-Haj Khial Mohammad Hussaini was sent to Logar province to closely investigate the incident in which the nomads tribe faced by, last month, BNA reported the other day. Representing others, Haji Alokozai spoke at the meeting thanking the president for staying alongside the people when facing any problem and condoled them and assess their problems, said the agency.
Mohammad Halim Fedaye, Logar governor, also thanked the president of the country for paying heed to the people of the province and that both the government and the Logar provincial leadership had done much for the people facing any problems, under the Islamic teachings and the Afghan culture.
Each family, with martyred members received 500 thousand Afghanis and those with wounded ones were paid 150,000 Afghanis.
At least two people have been killed and 17 others wounded, when the security forces opened fire on hundreds of demonstrators protesting against a commando attack that left one kochi dead during an anti-insurgent operation in the province last month.
