Mohib Discusses Trade, Investment With USAID Delegation

Kabul (BNA) Afghan Ambassador to US has met a delegation of US Agency for International Development (USAID) and discussed better coordination in the execution of agencies’ economic projects in Afghanistan, the envoy wrote on his social media page on Friday.
The two sides also discussed post-Brussels conference projects in the war-torn country and talked about better coordination in the implementation of USAID programs.
Reforms process, facilities for the US investors in Afghanistan and other issues came under discussion between the two sides.
The Afghan envoy talked during the meeting about the exploration of markets for Afghan products, investment in demining, promotion of the Afghan handicraft and products and repatriation of refugees.
Ambassador Mohib thanked the USAID for its development projects in Afghanistan over the years and assured the delegation and the USAID future assistance would be executed in the more effective manner.
It is pertinent to mention that Mohib on Wednesday visited the Indiana State of the US to observe the manufacture of Humvees by AM General LLC.
He asked the US to establish a military and armored vehicles’ maintenance facility in his country. A statement from the Afghan embassy said John Campbell, ex-US commander in Afghanistan, and other officials including Lawrence Platt, James Thomas and Will Goodman accompanied Mohib.
