Cabinet Holds Meeting

Kabul (BNA) The cabinet with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on the chair held meeting here in Arg the other day, BNA reported.
During the meeting variety of issues including approving budget for the fiscal year 1395 were discussed and the finance ministry was asked to take immediate steps for implementing the allocations of the government organs.
The minister for justice presented his report about the law on extradition treaty of prisoners between Afghanistan and foreign countries and the law was approved by the cabinet members.
Similarly, the minister for finance appraised the cabinet members about the policy of finance ministry on categorizing and preserving physical properties, specifying norms and standards in safeguarding public properties, creating methodology, capacity building of the government employees, which was endorsed by the cabinet and the ministries were tasked to implement.
The minister for urban development also presented his report about urban solidarity program, suburban areas, registration of residential areas, shops, factories and other properties to collect revenues and provide services which were approved by the cabinet in principle and also tasked the ministry for urban development to review the plan in coordination with Kabul Municipality and Local Directorate Organ and present the report to the next meeting of the cabinet.
The minister for work, social affairs, martyrs and disabled also reported her report on how to motivate the youth to stay at home and work inside the country instead of leaving homeland to abroad which stressed for establishing vocational courses to graduated youth to add to their experiences.
Cabinet members besides supporting the idea asked the ministry for work and social affairs to jointly work with the ministry of higher education and present their report to the next meeting of the cabinet.
The minister for higher education presented her report on the mechanism of taking test of scholarships to study abroad at the cost of the government and the cost of donor nations.
The ways and means on how to arrange university entry test of 1394 in the insecure provinces were also discussed.
Meantime, the minister for finance presented his report about selling 144 acres of land in the vicinity of Hamid Karzai airport at the cost of $350 million to Alkozai group to build six factories which was approved by the cabinet.
At the end of the meeting, the minister of foreign affairs presented report about the protocol for cooperation between Afghanistan interior ministry and the ministry for security of China, trade and cooperation agreement on the joint commission of the Republic of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan and cooperation agreement between Afghanistan and Turkey which were approved by the cabinet.
