Pakistan Should Take Practical steps Toward Peace in Afghanistan, MoFA

Kabul (BNA)  A spokesperson to Afghanistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) in a news briefing held yesterday in Tajikistan regarding ‘Debate on Central Asia and Japan + Afghanistan’ asked Pakistan for taking practical steps toward peace in Afghanistan.
In the debate, counterterrorism, funding terrorism through drug-trafficking, organized crimes and Afghanistan peace talks were discussed.
Briefing in connection with participation of Afghanistan acting minister of foreign affairs in the meetings, the MoFA spokesperson Sebghatullah Ahmadi said regional cooperation with Afghanistan for infrastructures development, economic cooperation between Central Asian countries and Afghanistan with cooperation of Japan and creation of new mechanisms for counterterrorism and organized crimes were among issues that would be discussed in the meeting.
Ahmadi welcomed regional and international motilities for pavement of direct peace talks between Afghanistan and the Taliban group in particular Germany and India’s role in this regard, asking Pakistan to take practical steps toward peace in Afghanistan.
