MoIC Drafted a Preservation Plan for Artefacts in “Mes Aynak

KABUL (BNA) The Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC) has drafted a preliminary plan for the preservation of the historical monuments and ancient city of Mes Aynak and the transfer of some relics in a professional quality.

The draft plan has prepared after several months of professional and technical delegation by the Deputy Director of Cultural Archeology.

The draft took to discussion in s joint multilateral meeting between the leadership of the Ministry of Information and Culture, Kabul University and the Academy of Sciences on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by Zabihullah Mujahid, Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, deputy of culture Mullah Saaduddin Saeed, Deputy Minister of Finance, Administration and Tourism, Esmatullah Osmani, Professor of Kabul University, Kitab Khan, Director of the Academy of Sciences. Faizi and Zabiullah Sadat, Director of Archeology, spoke in turn and shared the necessary advice and recommendations for the effectiveness of the draft plan.

They called the Mes Aynak a major economic project and resource for the country, adding that the Mes Aynak (copper mine) and its ancient city are of great historical value to Afghanistan and stressed that both its components and benefits must be valued.

The leadership of the Ministry of Information and Culture appreciated the preliminary draft plan prepared and gave specific instructions to the delegation of the Department of Archeology for further improvement.
