Kabul (BNA) Asadullah Zameer, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock paid a visit yesterday to promoting exhibitory project in Darulaman peddling farm.
Promoting project of peddling farm has been constructed in 2.5 acre lands in Darulaman area where various kinds of vegetables are planted and small parts of poultry, bee-keeping, cow and sheep are nourished in the farm. Mrs. Safi, a coordinator of the project said, “The project has been set up with financial and technical cooperation of the agriculture ministry and US since 2012 and it is determined that the project will be operating till 2017.” She said that female employees of the promoting section for ministry of agriculture have received professional trainings and their capabilities have increased. According to Safi, the trained women are determined to share their experiences with women and farmers in Kabul and four other provinces. Visiting the project, minister of agriculture, irrigation and livestock said exhibition of the project was showing that Afghan women have had better capabilities and could play vital role in economy of their families by planting various vegetables and raising various farms as poultry, bee-keeping, cow and sheep nourishment.
