Kabul (BNA) A session of public awareness pillar of IEDs was held under the chairwomanship of deputy minister of publication affairs for Information and Culture here in Kabul. In the session, deputy minister of publication affairs Sayda Mozhgan Mostafavi briefed related to activities of the pillar of public awareness, asking for launching the public awareness program in capital and all provinces of the country through media, mosques’ imams, SMS, radio TV spots and billboards in consideration to explosion of IEDs in schools of Kabul. Evaluating cooperation of the people as significant in reduction of victims toll and kinds of unexploded explosive devises, Mostafavi stressed on joint efforts of inter-governmental organizations and donors. Internal affairs director for national Security Council and head of high commission on counter IEDs informed of taking four steps for reduction of the victims caused by IEDs explosion, insisting on better coordination among members of the public awareness’ pillar and donors. Representatives of MoIC, MoI, MoE, MAIL and UNMACCA briefed in connection with activities of their organizations towards public awareness and future programs, asking for addressing the problems in this regard.
