KABUL (BNA) The World Food Programme (WFP) says that since the start of 2022, it has distributed foodstuffs to 588,664 people in Faryab.
According to BNA, The World Food Programme tweeted that 9,127 families in Pashtun Kot district of Faryab province have recently benefited from the program.
In addition to Faryab province, it has distributed food to thousands of families in Badghis, Laghman, and Nimroz provinces.
The World Food Programme (WFP) has previously said that it is concerned about the growing poverty and food shortage in Afghanistan and that it does not have the budget or facilities to provide for all needy families.
The World Food Programme is calling on the international community and donor countries to provide more funding for the development of humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan.
