Matoon City (BNA) A total of 68 armed oppositions were killed and 23 others were wounded during a military operation conducted by Afghan security forces in relevant areas of Musakhail district, eastern Khost province the other day.
Ministry of Defense (MoD) press office stated BNA, the operation was launched by support of Afghan Air and Artillery forces aiming to annihilate armed rebels in Musakhail district of the province.
Some heavy and light weapons, heavy ammunitions and military mobilizations belong to the insurgents have been discovered and seized by Afghan security forces during the operation.
Also three notorious commanders of Taliban militants, who had active role in most insecurity in the district, were killed following the operation.
