Kabul (BNA): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met US Chargé d’Affaires to Afghanistan Ross Wilson and NATO Resolute Support Mission general commander to Afghanistan Gen. Scott Miller the other day.
In the meeting held at Presidential Palace, Gen. Scott Miller briefed President Ghani about his recent visit to Qatar. Gen. Miller said that talks between US special peace envoy for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad and Taliban in Qatar were ongoing and if developments were made in this regard, Khalilzad would visit Kabul to brief Afghanistan government about the developments. Meanwhile, President Ghani praised the US for its overall efforts towards Afghanistan peace, stressing on ending the war and maintaining ceasefire in the country.
