Pul-e-Alam (BNA) Deputy of development council for Baraki-Barak District was assassinated by unknown gunmen in eastern Logar province yesterday.
Eng. Rahim Amin district governor of Baraki Barak said BNA reporter, Haji Zalmai a tribal elder and deputy of development council for Baraki Barak district was shot dead by unknown gunmen close to his house.
Haji Zalmai since long time has active role in resolving people problems in Baraki Rajan region of the district.
Meanwhile, few days ago Afghan Commando forces launched a clearing operation in Baraki Barak district of Logar province, which killed and wounded a number of Taliban militants.
It has been said, the tribal elder was killed by Taliban militants.
