Herat To Soon Turn Into Industrial Province As TAPI Bringing Big Change, President Ghani

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met yesterday with a number of elders and youths of Herat and heard their problems and demands.
In the meeting, first Neku Naam and Aminullah Jafari, representing others, spoke and thanked for the inauguration of world on the implementation of TAPI project, saying that implementation of the project would result in increasing of national revenues and bringing positive change in life of the people of Afghanistan in particular the western provinces.
They also praised the country’s President for his efforts and achievements in good governance, counter corruption, rule of law and implementation of development and reforming programs and declared their full support from the government, the President and all programs of the government.
They enumerated their suggestions such as construction of cement factory construction of Pashdan dam, reforms in local government of Herat, addressing problems of martyrs and disabled families, appointment of women in local agencies and attention to refugees and displaced families in the province.
Afterwards, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani spoke and by pointing to created environment of trust, unity and coordination in Herat said he hoped such atmosphere of trust would expand to all parts of the country.  “TAPI is the start of a big change and Herat will be soon changed to an industrial and regular province as mines of Chest-e-Sharif can bring a big change in life of the people in the country”.
President Ghani said, adding that agriculture of Herat should be modernized and unity among tribes and religions should be further strengthened and protected in Afghanistan.
The country’s President further said that a motivation has been created for the past three years and Afghanistan was moving towards development, but such speed of development was not sufficient, adding that the inauguration of work on the implementation of TAPI, breaking geographic prison of central Afghanistan and deployment of youth in government institutions were examples of such motivation and enduring reforms.
At the end of his speech, President Ghani said that preparations for repatriation and replacement of refugees would be taken based on regular plan.
