“Mutalib Baig Shaheed Also Strived For Creation of New Order:” Marshal Fahim

Kabul (BNA) First vice-president Marshal Mohammad Qaseem Fahim, talking at the gathering commemorating the first anniversary of martyrdom of Shaheed Abdul Mutalib Baig, member of the National Assembly and a former Jehadi and resistance commander, once again emphasized on restoration of peace and calmness in the country calling it a vital need of the people of Afghanistan.
He added that we are duty bound to work on this direction so that an atmosphere of trust comes into being in the country.
While emphasizing on the realization of the aspirations of the martyrs of the country stressed that reaching this, requires unity, cohesion so that an atmosphere of trust is created among the involved sides and also the enemy is specified.
He noted that Mutablib Baig also strived for creation of the new order in Afghanistan and he was a national personality, patriot and served the people of Afghanistan and lost his life in this path.
Addressing the gathering some of whom had come from provinces that the government of Afghanistan is sincerely trying to hold the presidential election on its due time and this election is held in transparent and just manner as it is related with the future stability of the country.
He noted that democracy and its values have been obtained as a result of exerted efforts of the past ten years of the people of Afghanistan in cooperation with the international community and we will not allow that this process is harmed.
Abdul Mutalib Baig was one of the famous Takhar commanders of Jehad and resistance era who represented his people at the National Assembly and when he was attending the funeral ceremony of one of his relatives in Taluqan of Takhar province was martyred in a suicide attack along with 20 other residents of the province.
