Wednesday October 19, 2016

Kabul (BNA) The visit of Dr. Abdullah Abdullah the executive chief of the country to Saudi Arabia has opened a new chapter of relation between Kabul and Riyadh.
BNA political analyst commenting on the issue writes the national unity government since its establishment has consistently tried to boost its relation with Islamic countries and the issue has been at the top of its priorities. Based on this policy, the president started his foreign visits from Islamic countries. Unfortunately, the critical situation prevailed in many Islamic countries has led to the emergence of numerous terrorist groups in those countries. Therefore, the existence of terrorism and anti-humanitarian activities is the main problem of the countries suffering the most. Afghanistan is also the victim of terrorism rooted abroad. The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan’s policy from the beginning insisting on expansion of direct relation with other countries that has removed certain concerns on the framework of mutual relations. The Afghanistan of today is much different from the Afghanistan of several years ago from economic, political, and social points of view and directly establishes ties with other countries based on good neighborhood, non-intervention in others affairs and tries to improve such relations with other countries. Islamic Republic of Afghanistan asks the other countries to establish their relations based on criteria Afghanistan is already following.
In any case, Afghanistan as an independent country never wants the expansion of insecurity and instability in the region and Islamic world, for this reason consistently insists on settling the regional and beyond regional disputes via peaceful means. In such critical situation, the visit of Dr. Abdullah Abdullah to Saudi Arabia is of great importance. The visit is a clear message that Afghanistan does not want to be involved in regional issues and independently thinks about finding the ways for settling the crisis the people suffering. Without doubt, the visit and negotiations of executive chief with Saudi authorities will further improve cooperation between the two countries.
