Military Operation Ended In Bati-Koot of Nangarhar

Kabul (BNA) Military officials say a military operation launched by them the Bati-Koot district of Nangarhar cleaned from the presence of terrorist groups.
The operation was launched seven days ago with participation of national army, national police and national security forces, ended late yesterday.
Colonel Shireen Aqa the spokesman of military forces in the east of the country said BNA, during the operation tens people related to Taliban groups arrested and large number of military equipment and vehicles seized.
According to him, the military forces succeeded to discover a vehicle packed with explosive. At least 12 roadside mines planted by Taliban on busy roads were also discovered and defused.
Local residents say during the operation many armed Taliban including Pakistani rebels fled to Pakistan from Shinwar and Momand Dara districts.
Local residents expressing happiness from the withdrawal of insurgent from the region expressed their concern about returning of the insurgent to Bati-Koot district.
The spokesperson claimed that from now more troops will be stationed in the district to ensure security.
According to the reports during the operation Fazul-Rahim Lalay a commander of armed Taliban along with three injured succeeded to flee to an unknown place.
Recently Nangarhar Province especially the border areas with Pakistan was the scene of terrorist activities of terrorist groups, among them armed Taliban and Pakistani militants.
Especially Bati-Koot district located along Tourkham highway which connects Shinwar and Mohmand Dara districts to Pakistan recently was witness of planting mines, attack on government employees and elders and  targeting military conveys and passengers.
