Muttaqi Meets Iran’s Foreign Minister in Uzbekistan

KABUL (BNA) Foreign Minister, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with his Iranian counterpart Amir-Abdollahian today, Thursday in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

The two sides discussed on details on the political, economic and transit growth between two countries, regional stability, security, and further strengthening of bilateral cooperation, according to a statement.

In the end, Muttaqi thanked his Iranian counterpart for providing facilities to Afghan refugees, supports of Iran on the prevention trafficking of drugs in Afghanistan and the treatment of drug addicts.

Meanwhile, the country’s Acting Foreign Minister, Mawlavi Amir Muttaqi has traveled an official visit to Uzbekistan to participate in the meeting of foreign ministers of 7 countries in the region on Afghanistan.
