Muttaqi, Pleads Iran to Stop Misbehavior Against Afghan Refugees

KABUL (BNA) Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Foreign minister of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met today with Bahador Aminian, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In the meeting, the Foreign Minister expressed concern over the treatment of Afghan refugees in Iran and asked the Iranian ambassador to send a message to his leaders to send security and related agencies to Afghan refugees. But he gave the necessary orders to prevent violations in border areas and cities.

Mawlawi Muttaqi said that the Misbehavior of Afghan refugees in Iran negatively affects the relations and public mentality of the two countries and gives the enemies of the two side the opportunity to cause destruction and discord.

He added that no criminal who does not use the name of Afghan immigrants reflects everyone’s thoughts, intentions and actions.

Meanwhile, the Iranian ambassador to Afghanistan also expressed concern about the incident, When two clerics and a servant were stabbed to death in the holy shrine of Imam Reza Mosque, some biased circles were looking for a conspiracy between the people of friendly and neighboring countries in Media its engaged in negative propaganda with the aim of creating hatred and pessimism.

Mr. Bahador Aminian invited Afghan immigrants living in Iran as guests and added: “The behavior of Afghan immigrants in Iran after 43 years has proved that they have a loving and friendly relationship with the Iranian people.”

The Iranian ambassador said: “the government does not intend to mistreat Afghan immigrants and has always sought to strengthen relations between the two countries.” he said that the message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan will be communicated to the leaders of this country and the government.
