National, International Media Should Published Realities of Afghanistan: Farahi

KABUL (BNA) The Deputy Publication of MoIC, Mohajer Farahi, in a meeting with the head of UNAMA’s human rights in Kabul Today, Monday said: “The national and international media should publish facts and realities of Afghanistan.

The head of UNAMA’s human rights office in Kabul Ms. Fiona Frazer expressed concern about media access to information and addressing the problems of media and journalists, saying that the situation of media and journalists in Afghanistan is concerning, according to BNA correspondent.

The law on media access to information has been completed by the Ministry of Information and Culture and has been sent to the senior official of the Islamic Emirate for review, adding that soon will be available to the media and journalists, said Farahi during to the meeting.

According to him, the Media Violation Commission investigates and deals with the problems of the media and journalists, and for this objective, a joint committee from the Ministry of Information and Culture and Afghan Journalists’ Organizations has been appointed to deal with the problems of the media.

In this meeting, Farahi stressed that all media and international media should publish the facts and realities of Afghanistan.

Farahi said, unfortunately, some media and international communities driving worse the situation in Afghanistan, by publishing reports far from the truth.

He affirms that the Ministry of Information and Culture is the supporter of journalists and the unit authority for dealing with journalists’ problems.
